Cairo - Mubasher: Trade volume between Egypt and Singapore dropped by 56.76% to $137 million in the first half (H1) of 2025 from $316.90 million in H1-24, according to the CAPMAS report.
The Egyptian exports to Singapore hit $12.20 million in the six-month period that ended on 30 June 2025, an annual growth from $11 million. Meanwhile, the imports plunged to $124.80 million from $305.90 million.
Investments
During the H1 of fiscal year (FY) 2024/2025, Singaporean investments in Egypt reached $210.30 million, higher than $205.30 million in H1-23/24.
On the other hand, the Egyptian investments in Singapore fell year-on-year (YoY) to $21.60 million from $30.90 million.
Remittances
The value of remittances from Egyptians working in Singapore increased to $30.30 million in FY23/24 from $23.60 million in FY22/23.
Meanwhile, remittances from Singaporeans working in Egypt decreased to $1 million in FY23/24, compared to $1.60 million.
